Corrections & Disputes
Origin aims to publish accurate, well-documented information. If something Origin has published about an X account is inaccurate or incomplete, account owners and anyone else can request a correction or dispute it by emailing corrections@builtbyorigin.com.
Last updated October 17, 2026
What can be corrected
You can request a review if you believe, for example:
- an X account was identified incorrectly;
- a promotion was associated with the wrong account;
- a contract address or chart link is wrong;
- a token outcome is recorded incorrectly;
- a screenshot is misleading or missing important context;
- a risk classification is not supported by the documentation;
- additional evidence exists that would change the assessment.
What to include
The more specific a request is, the faster it can be reviewed. Helpful information includes:
- the X username and the link to the Origin page concerned;
- the specific promotion, figure, screenshot, or statement you believe is wrong;
- what you believe is inaccurate or missing, and why;
- supporting material, such as links to original posts, on-chain transaction records, archived pages, or additional screenshots;
- if you are the account owner, a way to confirm you control the account. Origin may ask you to post a short verification message from it.
How requests are reviewed
- Each request is reviewed manually by Origin against the published evidence and any material provided.
- Origin may ask for more information or evidence before reaching a decision.
- Depending on the outcome, Origin may correct details, update figures, add context or evidence, change a risk classification, or leave the record unchanged.
- Requests are evaluated on their merits. Submitting a request does not mean information will be changed or removed, and evidence is not removed automatically.
Origin reviews requests as quickly as it reasonably can, but cannot guarantee a specific response time.
How to request a correction
Email corrections@builtbyorigin.com with the subject line “Correction request” or “Dispute” and the information listed above.
To report a new account or new promotions, use the Report Account page instead. For how Origin documents and classifies accounts, see the Methodology.
